KOCHI: The Cochin Port Trust, as a major aspect of its Master Plan for port area advancement, arrangements to rent out 57 acres of land of area claimed by it for tourism-related venture. The Port Trust will soon welcome statements of premium (Eoi) to recognize financial specialists for creating the zone.


The triangular strip at the Southern piece of Willingdon Island is the zone recognized for renting. The area, which has waterfront on two sides, is not suitable for any transportation related exercises, port powers said.


“The 57 sections of land, adjoining NH 49 is most suited for hospitality, leisure and tourism-based undertakings, for example, extravagance inns, oceanarium, water sports complex, sustenance courts, arrangements and walkway, diversion arcades, open promenade with manufactured shoreline, wellbeing spas and such other creative tourism items,” it is called attention to.
